Italian Excellences in fighting Covid-19

What is Italy doing to be recognized as an excellence in the managing of this new virus?

Italy was the first European country to face COVID-19 epidemic and it was heavily affected by the virus.

Following three months of lockdown imposed by the government, Italy started to get back on its feet, stronger than before and showing great will-power, adaptation and a positive attitude to change. This virus forced us to change our habits but we resiliently took on the challenge and became one of the safest countries to visit following the pandemic crisis.

What is Italy doing to be recognized as an excellence in the managing of this new virus?

1) ITALY HAS ONE OF THE SAFEST AIRPORTS IN THE WORLD

Rome’s Fiumicino Airport has become the first airport in the world to earn “the COVID-19 5-Star Airport Rating”.

2) WE ARE WORKING ON NEW TESTS

Italy is constantly working on improving and speeding up the covid-19 tests’ results. Italian authorities are trialing a new super-fast saliva test that can give results in just three minutes. The new test, called the “Daily Tampon”, is being trialed by the Italian health ministry and is expected to be approved for production soon. The test requires just a mouth swab; it differs from the current rapid tests being used at some Italian airports, which instead require a sample of nose and throat secretions and give results within around two hours. Tourism is finally starting back and we are putting all our efforts to welcome you again in our beautiful country.

We will keep you updated with positive news very soon!
